The parish of Barryroe spreads out over Lislevane, Butlerstown and Courtmacsherry and needs a single place to gather events instead of relying on disperate social media channels that are messy to navigate.

The domain barryroe.net was registered and the website was launched initially with the aim of simply listing local events
All costs for this website are sponsored by Faithful.ie and is provided for free to the local community.
The website has developed and now includes the following features to serve the community of Barryroe and surrounds:
- Listing of current local Events in chronological order
- All events include a clear layout with dates, times, venues (with clickable map)
- A Nature section with regular fascinating articles about the local wildlife
- A growing archive of local History including content from the Courtmacsherry & Barryroe History Group
- A Directory of local organisations and businesses
- A subscription facility for website visitors to receive events and articles directly to their email
- The facility for visitors to Add an Event or Directory Listing
